Activities

Mochitsuki

A traditional Japanese ritual where steamed rice is pounded into a sticky paste using a wooden mallet. The resulting mochi can be enjoyed in sweet and savory dishes.

Fukuwarai

A Japanese New Year game where you place facial features on a blank face while blindfolded. The funny mismatched results are believed to bring joy and good luck.

Kakizome

A New Year tradition where people write calligraphy to set intentions for the year ahead and bring good luck.

Omikuji

A traditional fortune-drawing activity, letting you peek into your luck for the coming year.

Yoyo Fishing

A festival game using a hook tied with fragile paper to catch water-balloon yoyos before the paper breaks.

Kimono Rental & Photography

Dress in beautiful traditional Japanese clothing and have your memorable photos taken by us.

Wanage

A simple ring-toss game where players aim to land rings on a peg or bottle.

Kendama

A traditional Japanese skill toy used to perform tricks by catching a ball in cups or on a spike.

Otoshidama

A New Year tradition of giving gifts in decorated envelopes, symbolizing good fortune and a fresh start.

1. The event will be held on Thursday, 1 January 2026 and Saturday, 3 January 2026 at the 1st floor of Watermark Hotel & Spa Bali.
2. To experience the activities, guests will need to exchange coupon vouchers.
3. Vouchers purchased are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
